Sustainable Today “Slow Food” Features Ingenuity Innovation Center

The Center for a Sustainable Today met with Ingenuity Innovation Center in late June to film a segment on “Slow Food.”  Tom Hopkins, Vice President of the center and Producer of the show, traveled out with his film crew to learn how Ingenuity Innovation Center is changing the way people grow and eat by using aquaponics to grow organic, GMO-free food.

Through the auspices of Slow Food Portland, the program presents the highlights of Tedx Manhattan, “Changing the Way We Eat.” The show then transitions to showcase a couple of slow food farm examples that include Ingenuity Innovation Center and Heart 2 Heart Farms.

The Center For A Sustainable Today is a non-profit,  501 (c)3,  tax exempt organization dedicated to the promotion of sustainable lifestyle practices through outreach and education.  Their primary effort is currently focused on the production and distribution of television programming aimed at raising awareness and demonstrating in practical terms a sustainable lifestyle.

The program is made possible by contributions from volunteers, businesses, organizations and individuals committed to the building of a sustainable world.  The Sustainable Today show is broadcast in the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area on the second Saturday of every month at 8pm on Comcast Channel 11.
